You may have seen the many recent reports of coyotes in and around our neighborhood on Nextdoor recently. I had a coyote in my cul-de-sac last night. A wildlife expert from the US Department of Agriculture will present more information on coyotes at a community meeting. The meeting will be at Cougar Ridge Elementary, this Thursday October 25 at 7:00 PM.
Horizon Crest Community Association
Annual Membership Meeting
The Horizon Crest Community Association annual membership meeting will be Tuesday, January 22, 2019, 6:30 PM at the Newport Way Library (note the address is Newport Way NW, not SE). All homeowners and residents of Horizon Crest are invited. Payment of the 2018 $35 membership fee entitles voting privileges.
Please wait to pay the 2019 membership dues until after February 1, the association’s new year. You can check your 2018 membership fee status here, and pay 2018 dues here.
We will review the activities and finances of the past year, set activities and finances for 2019, and elect a new Board of Directors to oversee the association’s activities.
2019 Board Members
There are several Board of Directors positions that don’t yet have a nominee. If HCCA activities such as the Spring Cleanup yard waste dumpsters and the Summer picnic, HCCA advocacy with the City of Bellevue and other homeowners are important to you, please let me know that you’d like to support your neighborhood association in this way. We meet less than monthly, so it’s not even hard!
Board Openings
Several members of the Board of Directors will be resigning this year. As you can see above, we have no nominations for some of the positions. Being on the HCCA Board is really easy! We meet not more that once a month for about 90 minutes (9 to 10 times a year). We coordinate neighborhood events like the cleanup dumpster and picnics, and discuss issues of neighborhood interest. We’d love to have you join us!
