A reminder that landscape maintenance on the sidewalk in front of your home is your responsibility. Please help neighborhood walkers, garbage trucks and street sweepers by keeping vegetation trimmed one foot back and seven feet above.

Storm Drains
In the recent It’s Your City newspaper, you might have seen the article about keeping storm drains clear. Keeping leaves and debris raked away from the grates helps prevent flooding in the neighborhood. All neighbors can help keep the drains clear, not just the residents immediately next to the drains. Thank You!!!
“Free” Items
Please don’t leave “Free” items on the curb. The recent occurrences have proven that if you don’t want it, nobody else does either. Please be responsible and take your own discarded items to Goodwill or the dump.
For the BBQ left on 157TH Avenue, if there is a generous neighbor willing to take it to the dump, the HCCA will reimburse your dump fee.
Rentals (house and room)
Several neighbors recently have expressed concerns about room and house rentals in Horizon Crest. The HCCA Board has researched and discussed the issues at length. We have written a Memorandum of Understanding regarding rentals in Horizon Crest. It is our hope that clarifying the rules around rentals will foster improved neighborhood relationships and strengthen our single-family neighborhood character. As noted in the memorandum, direct contact between neighbors should always be the first action in resolving differences. The HCCA Board is here to help facilitate conflict resolution if necessary.
