Greetings Neighbors!
We have a lot of neighborhood information to share with you – please read through the below announcements. We appreciate your continued engagement in our neighborhood and wish you a joyous holiday season!
HCCA Board – board@horizoncrest.org
Community Notice Regarding Property Maintenance
The Horizon Crest Community Association (HCCA) Board would like to address concerns regarding a vacant home within the neighborhood where the lawn and yard have not been maintained. Over the past several months, the board has made multiple attempts to contact the property owner by phone, text message, and mailed correspondence, requesting that the yard be brought into compliance with community standards. To date, the board has received no response, nor has any corrective action been taken by the homeowner. The board has explored a number of potential remedies to address this situation. However, due to pending litigation between the vacant property owner and the City of Bellevue, the HCCA is currently unable to pursue additional action due to possible liability. We understand the frustration this may cause and appreciate the community’s patience. In the meantime, the board kindly asks all neighbors to continue maintaining their own yards, sidewalks, and adjacent street areas to help preserve the appearance, safety, and overall quality of our neighborhood. Inclement Weather Preparedness
It’s that time of year again where weather can be unpredictable. Since we all know that the weather in our neighborhood can be unique compared to lower elevations, we would like to share with you a weather station website that reports neighborhood weather: Horizon Crest Weather Station. In addition, here are some tips to be weather ready:
- Keep vegetation trimmed, sidewalks cleaned from slippery debris and leaves out of streets. Do not dump or blow leaves into the street as they can clog storm drains creating flooding situations. If a storm drain appears blocked below the street surface, call 425-452-7840.
- During snow, park your car in your garage or driveway, keep street clear of garbage/recycling containers and any other objects so that the snowplow can clear the road safely and efficiently. Parking your car off the street also prevents accidents with cars sliding on the ice/snow.
