Security

In the past few weeks, there have been multiple incidents of locked-vehicle break-ins and mail theft in the neighborhood. For vehicles, we recommend parking in your garage. For mailboxes, we recommend purchasing a locking box such as the one linked in item 10 on the New Resident Quick Start on our website.

Annual Picnic

Please plan on joining us for the annual HCCA Picnic, Wednesday July 10 at 6:00 PM. The same as recent years, the picnic will be held at the green space at the crest of SE 48TH Drive and 155TH Avenue SE. HCCA will provide sub sandwiches and drinks. Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. There will be face painting and games for the kids. You should also bring a chair or blanket to sit on. The picnic is free with your HCCA membership. You can check your membership status on this page.

If you can help with set up, clean up, or other tasks, please contact Linda O’Byrne.

“Free” Items

Please don’t leave “Free” items on the curb. The recent occurrences have proven that if you don’t want it, nobody else does either. Please be responsible and take your own discarded items to Goodwill or the dump.

For the BBQ left on 157TH Avenue, if there is a generous neighbor willing to take it to the dump, the HCCA will reimburse your dump fee.
