HCCA Presentation and Annual Meeting

The winning topic of interest was Development Activity. I am working with the city to get a speaker from the Development Services department to update us on development activity in the Eastgate/Factoria/South Bellevue area. That presentation will be at 6:30 PM, Tuesday February 4 at the Newport Way Library. The HCCA Annual Meeting will immediately follow at 7:15 PM. All HCCA members are encouraged to attend and vote on 2020 officers, approve the budget, and hear and share concerns and ideas about our neighborhood.

Annual Picnic

Please plan on joining us for the annual HCCA Picnic, Wednesday July 10 at 6:00 PM. The same as recent years, the picnic will be held at the green space at the crest of SE 48TH Drive and 155TH Avenue SE. HCCA will provide sub sandwiches and drinks. Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. There will be face painting and games for the kids. You should also bring a chair or blanket to sit on. The picnic is free with your HCCA membership. You can check your membership status on this page.

If you can help with set up, clean up, or other tasks, please contact Linda O’Byrne.

Yard Waste Cleanup

One of the benefits of HCCA membership is use of the yard waste dumpsters that HCCA rents to help neighbors with yard waste cleanup. This year, two dumpsters will be out from Saturday April 27 through Sunday May 5 (two full weekends). Please put ONLY yard waste in these dumpsters from HCCA member homes. If non-yard waste is dumped, the entire load is contaminated and has to be taken to the dump at four times the cost. The dumpsters will be located on SE 48TH Drive just downhill from the 4-way stop (traditional location), and 157TH Avenue SE (up the hill from Hillside School).
